Wireless Network

Wireless design includes wired and wireless connection for the user to keep online wherever to elevate the efficiency. This design utilizes 802.11 Wi-Fi technology to transfer the voice, data and video. The wireless design supports 802.11a/b/g/n and can be upgraded from the traditional Wi-Fi network to the fastest and the best infrastructure.

Traditional wireless network design uses the autonomous or independent access point (AP), each of which is independently configured and administrated. This method is difficult to monitor the whole network and it is also difficult to expand the scale and function of the network. Core of the wireless network in the intelligent wireless service platform design is a wireless controller (WLC) in the center, which may be expanded to support necessary AP and stations for the enterprise.

Rich Cloud Technology suggests to use the wireless controller in the wireless network design, each of which may support several or hundreds of AP. To keep the design simple, continual, secure and expandable, we use a pair of WLC to support the flow of the visitor and the data and voice of the international user of the enterprise. It allows the employee to visit the same AP of the internal network by identity authentication, and provides the visitor and partner with the network access. Visiting data of the visitor is transferred back to the WLC from each AP and delivered to the firewall through a secure VLAN to prevent the visitor from visiting the internal assets. More WLC may be added if necessary to provide higher expansibility and continuity.

AP used by WLAN is the light access point (LAP) supporting 802.11a/b/g/n. LAP is powered by PoE of the LAN switch, so it is unnecessary to install the socket at every installation place. Headquarters and remote stations use the same model of AP to provide the standard and efficient design. If the connection between a remote station and WLC of the headquarters is lost, AP of the station may still independently operate to locally conduct flow exchange.

Every AP adopts the same wireless service set identifier (SSID) for the access of data, voice and visitor to facilitate the movement. Although SSID is universal in the network, it is designed to exchange the WLAN flow of local voice and data of the remote station to realize the efficient transmission. Visiting the internal network shall pass the RADIUS identity authentication first. WLAN of visitor uses the open Web identity authentication to control the terminable account visit.
